Every winter I deal with dry skin and it does not seem to matter how much lotion I use. I also, due to back injuries, spend time each day in a jaccuzi bathtub. I inquired about the Emu Oil and came home with a bottle and lots of hope. I was not disapointed! In September of 2008, when I last visited my daughter, I purchased the Emu X Pain Relief Formula and brought it back to California. I did not try it until this month, April (2009), when I started having a muscle/neck pain that would not go away. I tried a herb hot pack which helped some, I took pain meds but mostly I hurt. I could feel the burning pain just to the right of my neck in the upper shoulder muscle. It ached constantly and I found it very hard to rotate my right arm above my head. My husband found the oil and put it on my sink one day, so I decided to try it...what could I lose? Well, needless to say, it has been the only thing that keeps the pain away and I do feel that, because the pain is not there constantly, that my neck/shoulder is getting better. I don't know how it works, but it does. I can usually raise my arm above my head and put on my clothes without pain...yea! Dee, this is a fantastic product. Who knew?

I am the person who purchased two bottles of the 100% (emu) oil. I told you about my sister who suffers from acute chronic graft vs. host disease after she and I did a stem cell transplant due to her non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. I purchased the oil because the skin on her legs was very, very thin, and turning dark and ulcering. She also has severe neurothopy (nerve damage) in her legs and feet from the extensive chemo and radiation treatments. Although my precious sister still continues to have very poor health, I am happy to report that the skin on her legs looks much healthier, the blood circulation is better (so her legs no longer feel ice cold to the touch), and she is regaining feeling in her lower legs and feet where she only had numbness and constant tingling pain.

Just got your newsletter and immediately sat down to do what I’ve been meaning to for a long time: tell you how much 4 D Acres Emu oil helped me a couple of years back.
The side effects of the drug I was taking (Interferon, for Hepatitis C) caused my skin to dry and break out all over. I tried a lot of products, but the best was a little your emu oil that a friend from Kansas sent me. It covered and soothed the dry skin and restored its elasticity.

Our dog ZAPATO is a large blk and silver German Shepherd and Labb mix. We were told she was allergic to the saliva in flea bites, so everytime she was bitten it caused a large red bump. Her vet put her on medication for 2 months and finally the bumps wre gone. But then we had another problem, the medication had left her skin dry as toast, and she had huge white flakes in her fur. It looked like a very bad case of dandruff. What her vet sold me didn't work, and the biting and scratching got worst. Then I remembered buying Rusty's Refined Emu Oil and started using it on here problem areas. It calmed her skin down immediately and gave her much needed relief.
Now after 3 weeks here dry skin condition is gone and so are the white flakes. ZAPATO's coat feel like silk and is in beautiful condition. I used a small amount of oil and rubbed it in with my fingers by giving her a puppy massage.

I have been using your Emu Oil for the past 6 months and think it is wonderful. I have a lotion that I buy because I love the scent. But it's just a basic lotion. I add a couple drops of the Emu Oil to my lotion every time I use it, and now I get all the benefits of the Emu oil without sacrificing my scented lotion. I was out pulling weeds (ick) and that night I noticed a couple of "bites" on myself and the first thing I did (after I took a shower) was to put some of the Emu oil on them and they quit itching (I just hate itching). I have to tell you that I've witnessed the power of Emu oil first hand...well leg now! I basically had a severe case of road rash on both my shins. They were bruised, totally abraded, red and inflamed! I kept the pure Emu oil on them and kept them covered and moist. A week later, the damaged areas look terrific! You can barely see the outline of where the skin damage was.
You have to understand, my skin does NOT heal very well at all, and for this to look THIS GOOD in this short period of time is a miracle for me!

I am writing to let you know of another wonderful use I have found for emu oil. I have varicose veins that form large bulges at some places on my legs. If these bulges break open, they form sores and scabs that up to now have never healed. Creams and lotions did not help, and there is no medical treatment for this condition. It finally occurred to me to put emu oil, followed by cream or lotion, directly on the scab and the extremely dry skin surrounding it. To my joy and relief I got immediate improvement. The lesions began healing right away and continued to make slow, steady progress. They are now almost completely resolved and no longer present the constant risk of breaking and bleeding that they once did.
Anyone with this problem should try emu oil as a remedy -- it does absolutely no harm and so much good.

I'm 20 years old and have had psoriasis for about 7 years. I never found any lotions that would make my spots stop itching until my dad found this product about 3 years ago. Your [Purple Emu hair] shampoo is the only product I have ever found that does not affect the hair color I use. As soon as I run out and use anything else -- even products made specifically for color-treated hair -- I lose color. Thanks for this great shampoo. AND, my hair seems to be coming in a little thicker these days. I heard about your company from my sister, Martie. She lives in Maine and uses your emu oil for all sorts of things. I was most impressed when I saw what your oil did for her thumbnail. When she was in her 20’s a doctor burned a wart off her thumb at the base of her nail. After that happened she never again had a normal nail – it was always wavy and yellowed looking. Last year she developed an actual hole in the nail right above her cuticle. It was very uncomfortable for her, so she began to treat it with emu oil just to keep it from drying out. After a couple of weeks, not only did the hole close, but her nail became completely normal! I would never have believed it unless I had seen it myself. After 30+ years of living with a deformed thumbnail she now has a completely healed, completely whole nail and cuticle. It sounds crazy when I tell people about it, but it is TRUE. Thanks for a great product.

We raise Missouri Foxtrotter Horses, 72 at current count, and this last spring found out just how great Emu Oil is. One of our mares had a problem with birthing and the baby couldn't get out. When we found her, the foal was dead; we had to remove the baby by pulling it out. Needless to say this poor mare’s back side was in really bad shape.
Mike of 4 D ACRES mentioned the Emu oil to me & I thought let’s give it a try. We rubbed it onto her twice daily & within a week she almost looked back to normal. "At the Farm and Ranch Show this week I learned for the first time of emu oil, and the benefits it can have for cuts on horses. I decided to buy some to have on hand, just in case. Unbelievably enough this very Friday our 8 month old filly didn't like that we moved her mother to another location. One of the benefits for doing this was to try to wean the filly. But she panicked tonight and jumped the neighbor’s fence that is chain link with a hot wire and barbed wire on top. She received about 6 different very large gashes across her chest and above her leg. I called our vet but could not get a hold of anyone. I thought of the emu oil that I had just purchased. I applied it with a q-tip, but I wanted to confirm are we supposed to do anything else besides apply it twice a day? How much of it are we supposed to try and get into or onto the cuts? The timing of all this I whole heart believe it's nothing short of a miracle. The Lord's guidance was definitely involved in the decision to purchase the Equine Aide.

While using a power washer/steam cleaner … I had the misfortune of the cleaning wand slipping from my hand, touching my forearm causing a minor burn. This distracted me enough to lose control of the wand. The steam spray passed across my upper right thigh, not only instantly severely burning my leg but also searing my jeans to my leg! By the time I was able to remove my clothing, the skin had already been pulled from my leg in an area about the size of a softball.
I applied the emu oil ASAP, and was rewarded almost immediately with pain relief. It took the fire out right now. Both my wife and I were amazed at how quickly the burns healed. My forearm was not even sore to touch after four days, and my leg in about fourteen. By using emu oil three times a day, I was able to carry out my daily routine and never missed a day of work.

I wanted to thank you for your suggestion of the 100% pure refined emu oil to aid in the healing of the incision from my recent surgery. The emu oil works wonders. And such a small amount goes a long way. I continue to use it twice daily, morning and night, and the wound is healing amazingly well. My doctor and her staff were quite impressed with the healing process. The oil seems to bring elasticity back to the skin and relieve some of the tightness associated with this type of healing. My husband has a long history of basal cell skin cancer and sun damaged skin. Following a recent visit to the dermatologist, he was prescribed a cream to use for 3 to 4 weeks to "burn" off damaged skin areas where there were too many places to remove individually. This included both sides of his face from forehead to temple and both arms from the elbow down. The cream did its job and soon those areas were covered with MANY red, blister like sores which were very tender. It truly looked like he'd been burned. The dermatologist confirmed that was the desired effect to cause the body to eliminate those potential cancer areas and grow new skin over the damage. The issue was how to ease the discomfort and promote healing. That's when I discovered the pure emu oil. He started applying a small amount 3x a day and we couldn't believe the results. Within 24 hours the redness and soreness was significantly reduced. Within a week healing was actively underway. He has continued to use the oil now for a month and it has remarkably helped this healing process. By the way, other creams and moisturizers he tried, before the emu oil, had really stung adding to his discomfort. Great product.

I just picked up the (Ultra) Emu Oil from the post office today. It's a good thing as I was attacked by a very scared cat. I was scratched, bruised and have some pretty deep punctures on my arms. (The cat's OK just scared by some noise outside) It was 45 minutes after I was scratched and my arms were inflamed and burning when I finally opened my mail and put the (Ultra) emu oil on my arms. Instant relief! While the spots are still sensitive there is no more burning and the swelling has gone down. Now I was ready to use it for the reason I ordered it...I put some on my back where I suffer from daily inflammation due to an old injury. God I hate having to brag on this stuff but... I have had a really bad blister in the palm of my hand (gardening with no gloves as usual). It is BIG almost an inch across. And of course it goes directly across my life line in the palm. So every time I use my hand that line slits the damn thing open. It bleeds almost every day and HURTS LIKE HELL! So now that the whining is over. Last nite we were playing cards with some friends and man oh man...ooops I already told you how bad it hurt. Anyway I rubs some of your Emu Oil on it about every hour or so and this morning it isn't hurting or bleeding or separating every time I open my hand. Dangit. That TWICE now that stuff has made a huge difference. Remember the burn? And I've used it more than twice but this was BIG.
